Privacy Policy
Draft for legal review. This notice explains the current website. A lawyer still needs to confirm it against the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules in force.
Blessings Physiotherapy Clinic, Shop No. 6, Ground Floor, Riddhi Siddhi Building, Vardhaman Nagar, N.S. Road, Mulund West, decides why walker and sponsor details are used for Walkathon for Health Bharat. Dr. Hansa Thacker is the grievance contact.
What we ask for
- Registration: name, mobile number, age, gender, area, T-shirt size, names walking with you, and an optional note about knee pain or a recent surgery.
- Sponsorship: organisation, your name, phone, the package you are asking about, and an optional note.
- A general message: name, phone, and the message.
- A data-rights request: name, phone, and what you want done.
Each form starts with empty boxes. A box you leave empty is a no. The health note is left out of the WhatsApp message unless you tick that box.
Why
- To register you, plan T-shirt sizes and medals, and send the assembly point.
- To let the physio team prepare the warm-up if you write a health note.
- To answer a sponsor or contact message.
- To handle a request to see, correct, erase, or withdraw consent.
How long
This website does not keep a database. The message sits in WhatsApp, and a copy is emailed to the three addresses named below. The working practice, still to be confirmed by the clinic, is to delete walk messages within 12 months after the walk they relate to, unless a complaint or a legal duty needs them for longer. A copy of which boxes you ticked is also saved in this browser only, so you can see it on this device. Clearing the browser removes that copy. It does not delete the WhatsApp chat.
Who else sees it
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries the message when you press send there.
- The same form is also emailed to walkathonbharat@gmail.com, physiohansa79@gmail.com, and yunickmedia@gmail.com. FormSubmit sends that email. The website still does not keep its own database.
- The page font is loaded from Google Fonts. That sends your IP address to Google. There is no ad cookie and no analytics cookie.
- Google Maps opens only if you tap the map link or the address. The site does not embed a map.
- Instagram and Facebook open only if you tap those icons.
- Event photographs may appear on Instagram @walkathonforhealth, in sponsor thank-you posts, and in local press. Tell a volunteer on the day if you do not want a close-up.
Details are not sold.
Your rights
You can ask to access your details, correct them, erase them, or withdraw a consent you already gave. Withdrawal does not undo a message already sent, and it does not undo a walk that has already happened. Use the form below, WhatsApp +91 85910 13399, or email walkathonbharat@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India. How to do that is for the grievance contact to explain with the current Board process.
If a walker is under 18, a parent or guardian should be the person who sends the registration. Verifiable parental consent, in the full sense of the Act, is not built into this website yet.
